Dear Las Palmas Community,

Welcome to our 2009-2010 academic school year at Las Palmas Elementary School.  I am looking forward to my second year as the lucky principal of this great school..  This school is such a unique gem found among the choices of elementary schools in our area and we welcome each and every family that walks through our front doors.  We feel honored to be able to be a part of your family in this special way.

We are so excited to open our new Las Palmas computer lab - 35 new Dell computers welcome our students this year due to the excellent work of last year's PTA.  Funds were raised to assist in our constant effort to update our "older" campus.  In the past two years, our PTA has funded a new multi-purpose room media system, a new sound system for our playground assembliies, teacher laptops, and now our new computer lab. Join the PTA!  It works!

We are looking forwward to offering your children a great year ahead.  The Las Palmas teachers are some of the best and most talented teachers in the entire school district.  Multi-cultural, multi-linguistic, and multi-talented.  You simply can't ask for more.

I look forward to a wonderful year ahead.  The world is a big place and we enjoy opening the window to this world each and every day to the 700 students at Las Palmas.
