Acerca de la Sra. Loya

"Ring, ring...ding, dong!"

Atentamente,

Imelda Loya

"Ring, ring...ding, dong!" Clock alarms and school bells are in the air. And that is how we begin our new 2016-2017 school year.

I am so excited to be your third grade teacher! This is my 21st year working at Las Palmas. I was born in Mexico City and lived there until the age of seven. From there, we moved to my parents' small, rural hometown in San Luis Potosi, México. When I was nine years old I arrived in California where I attended the local schools in the district, such as R.H. Dana, Marco Forster, and Capistrano Valley. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine, where I also received my teaching credential. I received my Masters in Education from Fullerton State University.

On a personal note, I love spending time with my family, which is quite numerous. During the summer I had the opportunity to visit my family in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. I loved spending time with my abuelitos (grandparents), who amaze me with their energy and health. I hope that your family was able to enjoy a pleasant summer and enjoy each other's company.

And now to begin our new journey in room 16!

Sincerely,

Imelda Loya
